hellooooo! its week 12 of the holidays (actually week 5 for me cause of precept!) and school is just loooming. like dark clouds. sigh. i simply cant emphasize how much i dislike school, but even im bored of saying that, so i shall shuddup about that. trying to psycho myself to like school cause work gonna be worse! im just super pessimistic i guess.
i went on two trips, cherating in msia and phuket, thailand. cherating was amazing because of the sea turtles which i actually got to be so close-up to, enough to pat it?? im referring to the biggg female turtle :) and we got to bring the eggs to the hatchery, and witnessed new baby turtles being born and released them into the sea (which looked damn menacing with the huge waves and zero light) but welll.... they do look very happy to hear the sound of the waves so its the best for them :) the thing is we didnt go there even wanting to see sea turtles or even knowing that we can do that! it was simply a relaxing trip, anyhow chose somewhere in msia and off we went, wanteng angeline and i. 3 days, only the second day was packed. 1st and 2nd days were spent travelling on the long distance coaches and getting lost. there's actually nothing much to do there except the turtles. glad we met a really good nature tour guide over there, played with natural waterfall, got to be so close to sea turtles, went on a mangrove cruise and also saw fireflies. it was a simply trip but fun and i guess we got more than we bargained for (:
phuket up next! hahaha it was also fun and relaxing and good to be in another country for a change! msia was just too near to be counted. hahaha i went snorkelling for the first time in my life, was surprised i wasnt even scared of the fishes AT ALL. HAHA. its not even the least bit scary but i used to think i would scream if i looked into the water and saw the fishes swimming around me. i even tried to catch them with my hands but they are just too fast for me. LOL. the night bar there is simply too crazy already, even though i've heard about them but it was different when im watching it right in front of my eyes i guess. HAHAHAAHHA. okay it was interesting la but when i was there i was quite freaked out. oh, there was sooooo many caucasians in phuket??? i went to patong and karon beach. more caucasians than thais even. oh the first day i watched muay thai boxing WHICH WAS SCARY. the first pair was like this pair of 7 year old boys. we couldnt believe our eyes la. they are KIDS. i totally felt like im in the middle of a storybook talking about child exploitation. as it went on the boxers/fighters got older but still not that old la. it was quite violent i ended up playing game on the iphone :/ total waste of money. last day went for thai massage! not difficult to find massage shops but quite difficult to find one which looks good (and most importantly, clean?) many of the shop fronts had like ladyboys (aka trannys) waving the massage menu at us which was just a turnoff. had some bad experiences in phuket though, when i told my friends they said maybe because its a tourist attraction, but well the people there just tried all means and ways to cheat your $$$$$$$. hahaha. im not even kidding. you wont even expect it and TADA you need to pay for this and your money's gone. and you spend a hell lot of time bargaining, which was really quite tiring but necessary cause they simply anyhow quote you prices! WELL. kinda like a cultural trip ;)
